Terms of Service — Worth Yourself

Please read these terms before using Worth Yourself. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. The key points: the app is a personal development tool, not a medical or financial service; the AI coach is a productivity aid only; and you can cancel your subscription at any time.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Worth Yourself ("we", "our", or "us") governing your use of the Worth Yourself mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading the app, creating an account, or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Description of service

Worth Yourself is a personal development application that helps you track habits and activities across five life domains — Health, Education, Finance, Lifestyle, and Bonds (relationships) — and visualises them as a single "Worth Score" that moves like a stock price over time.

Important disclaimer. Worth Yourself is a habit-tracking and self-reflection tool. It is not a medical device, a clinical mental health service, a financial advisor, or a substitute for professional advice of any kind. Nothing in the app — including the AI coach — constitutes medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are experiencing a health or mental health crisis, please contact the appropriate emergency services or a qualified professional.

3. Accounts

Creating an account

You may use the app as a guest (with data stored locally on your device) or create an account with an email address and password or via Google Sign-In. You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (or the age of digital consent in your country if higher — for example, 16 in some EU member states). We apply age-gating during setup using the date of birth you provide. Users below the applicable threshold are restricted to local-only mode and may not create a server-side account.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Account). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse or fraud, or as required by law. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscription and billing

Free features

Creating an account, tracking habits across all five domains, building your Worth Score, and using the social features are free.

Paid subscription — the AI coach

The AI coach feature requires a paid subscription. Plans available at the time of writing:

Annual plan: $59.99 per year
Monthly plan: $7.99 per month

A 7-day free trial is available to new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and the applicable fee is charged.

Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective billing terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store or Play Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time, except where required by applicable law or app store policy.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. The AI coach

The AI coach is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. It is designed to help you set goals and build habits — it is a productivity tool only. It is not a therapist, counsellor, doctor, or financial advisor.

The coach is instructed to direct users to professional emergency services if a message indicates a crisis. However, you should not rely on the coach for mental health support. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services, a crisis line (such as 988 in the US or Samaritans on 116 123 in the UK), or a qualified professional.

AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not make significant health, financial, or life decisions based solely on the coach's output.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users' data
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, scripts) to interact with the Service
Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
Submit content to the coach or feedback that is abusive, harassing, or designed to manipulate AI outputs in a harmful way
Claim a ticker symbol that is a trademark, brand name, or public figure's identifier you do not have the right to use
Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account

7. User-generated content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the app (journal entries, habit names, coach messages, ticker symbol). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

We do not review user-generated content proactively. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts if content violates these Terms or applicable law. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms in full — this acknowledgement applies wherever user content is created (journal entries, a display name, a ticker symbol).

Blocking, reporting, and objectionable content

Worth Yourself has social features (friends, a shared leaderboard, shared journal entries) where you may encounter another user's display name, ticker symbol, or journal content. If you don't want to interact with someone, you can block them from within the app (their profile or friends list) — this instantly removes any friendship between you and hides you from each other everywhere in the app, in both directions.

If you see content or behaviour that concerns you, you can report it from the same menu, with a reason. We review every report and commit to taking appropriate action — including removing objectionable content and/or expelling the user responsible — within 24 hours of receiving it. We also apply an automated filter to display names and ticker symbols to catch obviously abusive content before it's ever visible to another user.

To report content or a user without using the app (for example, if you no longer have access to your account), email support@getvest.app with as much detail as you can — what/who you're reporting and when you encountered it. We honour the same 24-hour commitment for reports made this way.

8. Intellectual property

The Worth Yourself app, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service except as permitted by applicable law.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that any defects will be corrected.

Worth Score calculations are based on the data you enter and the weighting you set. They are illustrative only and do not represent an objective measure of your wellbeing, productivity, or financial health.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Worth Yourself and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
